The often upbeat dance style that has evolved using elements of ballet and modern; influenced by rhythms & techniques of jazz music. Dancers will focus on kicks, turns, leaps and flexibility. Jazz is considered the happy, joyful dance that has developed over the ages in social scenes and interactions. Whether celebrating at a high energy social event or relaxing or winding down, jazz is the type of dance that is usually seen. At Dance Studio C, all areas of the body are exercised and developed, from the dancers legs, up through their core and torso and into their arms. Jazz will definitely be one of their favorites as the develop in their dance progression.
Ballet combines grace, line and beauty to provide the technical foundation for all dance forms. Dancers will learn Classical Ballet Technique from barre work, to center floor work and across the floor variations. At Dance Studio C, we believe that ballet is the core of all the other styles and endorse as much ballet training as the student is willing to take. Although possibly viewed as "harder" than some of the other styles, a positive attitude and a willingness to develop strong skills will significantly impact your dance in more areas than just ballet. As your dancer moves into our company programs at Dance Studio C, parents and students will notice the ratio of ballet compares to other styles of dance significantly increase. This focus on ballet creates a noticeable difference and sets Dance Studio C apart at performances and dance competitions.

These classes are one of our most popular classes. We are well known through-out the valley for them and they fill quickly. They are usually at capacity or slightly over. Our proprietary teaching system was developed specifically for the dancers ages and truly creates amazing future dancers. Although in many cases these toddlers are not able to express themselves effectively in verbal or body language, they are in essence "storing up" what they learn in classes. As their ability to outwardly express themselves engages, they skip ahead by leaps and bounds.
We highly recommend enrolling your toddlers as soon as possible (approximately age two) to beginning this process of learning. In addition, the social skills they learn in class (following an instructor outside the presence on mom and dad, interacting with other students, learning coping mechanisms in a learning environment, etc) will prepare them for pre-school and beyond.
